Hi I'm Liv,
I travel the state collecting raw agricultural ingredients such as: rice, grains, fruits, pecan oil, flowers, and local salt all from local farmers, small businesses, & Herbalists. I started my company last year after graduation with my small savings I had set aside to purchase a house. I then instead used it to start my business. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this was what I had unintentionally saved for, to help others. My company has grown in one year purely on organic growth, support from customers, local communities, & my labor of love to be able to provide the middle class with a truly simple, yet high quality product at an affordable cost. I am able to do this by my unconventional method of making products like skin care different from all other natural products on the market! My company truly benefits everyone starts to finish. The customer benefits by having such products sold at an affordable price that gives them healthy accurate results, local farmers, & businesses enjoy free marketing and promoting with new revenue, improving our economy & agricultural departments, lowering cancer and other health related issues & teaching/showing our children the future generations on the importance of buying local and living healthy.
I only purchase supplies and ingredients from local farmers & small businesses. I then create a new revenue channel for them by taking what has always been a “loss” & turn it into a new form of revenue which results in a “no waste” type of production, for example: rice that does not pass inspection. I buy from them (when normally they count this as a loss) and use it to then make vinegar which is an ingredient I use in my multi-cleaners. I purchase tallow from local farmers, butchers, & stores to use as my main source in many products like soap, detergent, bath, & skincare items. I purchase honey, herbs, beeswax, pecan oil, lye, & even containers from all local and small businesses; nothing is outsourced, bought online, or in major stores. Products are 100% truly organic, high quality products that support nothing but local. I use fruit, flowers, & even harvest wild growing plants for ingredients, along with teaching and bringing knowledge of what we have natural and locally available. I hand dig red clay in northern Louisiana and process it for an average of three months to create a truly unique face clay mask that has results within a few uses if not even the first use. I create acne products which have proven to drastically clear customer blemishes even bring comfort to those who have sensitive skin; can now enjoy relief with a truly healthy locally made product that is affordable. I also purchase items like face scrubs, dish rags, & loofahs all made by local women who lost jobs or just trying to make ends meet that crochet.
I believe more now then ever is the time to bring something like this into the public eye and market. I am a single mother. I put myself through college working 2-3 part time jobs, while attending 18 hours per semester and raising a child. I know what it is to suffer and sacrifice for others & my company is just that. I do this as a labor of love so others around me can grow, prosper, & excel. The people who supply me with ingredients or products; I freely promote and market them by placing them on my products labels, featuring them in my monthly newsletters; telling their amazing story and accomplishments, & refer them to other customers and people; in return all money is cycled within our local economy and building it up. We all need to understand if we are to grow and become successful that we are not each others competition but rather excel in other ways that each other lack.
The goal here is to realize we already have what we need around us and to support one another locally instead of outsourcing from where our community will never seethe benefits of any purchase.
XOXOXO - Liv
